Power Savings Blitz

The Power Savings Blitz provides qualifying small businesses with up to $1,000 in free energy efficient lightingandequipmentupgrades. When you conserve energy you're doing more thanjust helping your business' bottom line - you arealsocontributing to a cleaner, greener environment for your customers and the community. Save electricity, savemoneyand help the environment - at no cost to you.

The program provides turnkey energy efficient lighting and equipment upgrades for small commercial businesses who have less than 50kW of demand. This includes a wide range of businesses from professional dry cleaners to medical offices to beauty salons and food service businesses such as restaurants, grocery stores and butcher shops.

Eligibility Requirements
Program is entirely voluntary and the small business must be located in Renfrew Hydro’s service territory and have a Renfrew Hydro account number
 
Small businesses with an average monthly electricity demand of less than 50 kW are eligible. If you receive a bi-monthly hydro bill you probably meet this requirement.

How Power Savings Blitz works

Step1: We assess your business
A Renfrew Hydro approved advisor will conduct an assessment of your business and provide a list of recommended energy upgrades to help your business become more energy efficient.

Step 2: We identify your options
After the assessment is complete, you then decide if you want to have a retrofit completed. Funding up to $1,000 is provided for the retrofit (including cost of material and labour), with the opportunity for the customer to pay costs over the $1,000 limit. The minimum amount for a free retrofit is $300.*

Step 3: We install and upgrade
A licensed electricity contractor will install your free upgrades with your approval and at your convenience.

*Subject to the terms and conditions of the program. No obligation to carry out a retrofit valued greater than $1,000.
