Renfrew Hydro is currently developing an installation plan and schedule to install smart meters for all residential consumers.

Once the plans have been finalized, Renfrew Hydro customers will be notified.

This program is in support of the Ontario government's energy plan where all Ontario consumers will have them installed by the end of 2010.

The information on the right will help you better understand smart meters and how you can monitor your own usage and costs. By knowing how and when you use energy, you can change your usage patterns to reduce peak demand in Ontario and save money on your electricity bill.
