Competitive Charges
Cost of Power
- Residential, low volume consumers using less than 250,000kwh per year and other designated consumers are charged electricity prices under the Regulated Price Plan that is reviewed by the Ontario Energy Board every six months. The threshold for the low price is 600kwh per month for the summer period and 1000kwh per month for the winter period. The threshold for non-residential RPP consumers is 650kwh per month year round. Please visit current pricing for rate details.
- Standard Service- large users not qualifying for the RPP are charged market prices.
- Retail Rate- A consumer may choose to sign a contract with a retailer for a fixed price for a set term. This fixed price covers the competitive charges only. Regulated charges are not included.
