Ontario Energy Board announces new Time-of-Use and Tier Prices

The Ontario Energy Board (OEB) announced October 21, 2022 that electricity prices for households and small businesses will be lowered as of November 1, 2022 under the Regulated Price Plan (RPP). The winter Time-of-Use (TOU) hours and the change in the threshold for residential customers on Tiered pricing will take effect November 1 as usual.

Incentive Rate-Setting

Renfrew Hydro Inc. has filed as application to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) to change the Electricity Distribution Rates effective January 1, 2023. This application follows the OEB's Incentive Rate-Setting Method (IRM) established as part of the OEB's Renewed Regulatory Framework.  A typical residential customer of Renfrew Hydro, consuming 750 kWh per month, would see their monthly bill increase by $2.53.
